The sixth seed, Camilo Ugo Carabelli (47th), became the champion of the Rosario Challenger on Sunday by defeating his compatriot Román Burruchaga (104th) in two sets, who will also participate in this Argentina Open. The 26-year-old player will debut on Tuesday against his compatriot Francisco Comesaña (63rd) in the round of 32, and if he advances, he could face Argentine Mariano Navone (73rd), who must defeat American Emilio Nava. Meanwhile, Tomás Martín Etcheverry (54th) is the seventh seed and arrives at this tournament after falling in the third round of the Australian Open to Kazakh Aleksandr Bublik.
